Baking

Before transitioning into UX design, I was a baker. That experience taught me the importance of attention to detail and craftsmanship, values I now carry into my design work. Baking remains a way for me to stay grounded and find inspiration.

Baking is my creative escape a way to unwind and express myself outside of design. Much like UX design, baking combines creativity and precision. Experimenting with new recipes, decorating cakes, and perfecting flavors remind me that creativity has no limits, whether it’s on a screen or in the kitchen.

For me, baking is more than just a hobby it’s a reminder that creativity takes many forms and that balance is key to staying motivated and inspired.

Mentoring Future Designers

Mentoring is a deeply rewarding experience for me. It allows me to give back to the design community by helping aspiring UX designers find their footing in this ever-evolving field. I understand how overwhelming it can be to start a career in UX design, and being able to guide someone through the process whether it’s refining their portfolios, preparing for interviews, or developing their confidence feels incredibly fulfilling.

Mentoring has allowed me to build lasting relationships with mentees, some of whom have gone on to achieve incredible milestones. It has also opened doors for me to collaborate with schools and design communities, strengthening my influence and reputation in the UX field.

Helping others grow reminds me of how far I’ve come and fuels my drive to continue learning and evolving as a designer and mentor.
